OVERVIEW

Flowtech Engineering partnered with Blackedge Consulting, specialist design and build recruiters, to hire four HVAC/Water Treatment Commissioning Technicians for major European projects. Traditional recruitment methods had failed to attract the right candidates, and Flowtech faced challenges with niche skills, tight deadlines, and the need for international mobility.

Blackedge Consulting delivered an engaged recruitment solution, sourcing talent across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Within four weeks, four technicians were successfully placed, meeting project demands and building a trusted partnership for future recruitment needs.

UNDERSTANDING THEIR NEEDS

We worked closely with Flowtech Engineering through discovery meetings with Directors and project managers. This helped us understand their rapid growth, niche technical requirements, and urgent project deadlines. IDENTIFYING THE CHALLENGES

It became apparent that lack of management time meant that ASN sometimes overlooked their internal recruitment processes, failed to provide adequate feedback to their suppliers, and in some cases used suppliers that were not approved.
